If nonzero in multiplayer game, the pickup sprite of the weapon a player is currently holding will appear over their head. If they have the boot out there won't be anything hovering over their head.
The default key bound to toggle this setting is W.
Note: the weapons floating above the player's head are visible in a mirror.
