EDuke32 is 99% compatible with all Duke3D 1.3D/1.5 and EDuke 2.0 mods.  While most 1.3D/1.5/2.0 content will run fine, this functionality cannot be completely guaranteed -- for example, the default behavior for pipebombs changed between EDuke and EDuke32.  As such, these features are offered only for the purpose of making it easier for modders to move their mods over to EDuke32.  However, if you have a problem running an old mod, feel free to report it.

EDuke32 Scripting

EDuke32 is a Windows/Linux/UNIX version of Duke Nukem 3D aimed at highly extending what can be edited in the game. EDuke32 is based on EDuke and combines the work that JonoF and Ken Silverman have put in to JFDuke3D with the original EDuke work done by Matt Saettler while adding tons of new, useful features. EDuke32 is developed and maintained by Richard "TerminX" Gobeille and the EDuke32 team.

Note: A lot of time was spent getting EDuke32 to the point where it would comfortably run just about any Duke3D 1.3D, 1.5 or EDuke 2.0 mod. As a result of this effort, EDuke32 is 99% compatible with all Duke3D 1.3D/1.5 and EDuke 2.0 mods. However, while most 1.3D/1.5/2.0 content will run fine, this functionality cannot be completely guaranteed -- for example, the default behavior for pipebombs changed between EDuke and EDuke32 (in EDuke, pipebombs functioned as grenades such as in NAM and WW2GI, but their behavior has been reverted back to remote detonation by default in EDuke32). As such, these compatibility features are offered mainly for the purpose of making it easier for modders to move their mods over to EDuke32. However, as the quality of EDuke32 is very important to us, feel free to report any problems you may have when attempting to run older Duke mods.
