EVENT_INIT is a Game Event.
This event is called immediately following the compilation of CON code. Most commands that depend on a player being present will fail because no players have been initialized yet.
One potential use of EVENT_INIT is to display name and version information about your mod to the log file using the echo command. While quote will not work for the aforementioned reason, any text displayed using userquote will persist through any menu systems until the normal countdown timer expires once gameplay has begun.
